I appreciate a silly bird name (*side-eyes boobies*) but narina trogon is the most bird-sounding bird name. You know when you’re not into birds and someone who is into birds identifies one… “ah yes that’s the tanshrhisnsnks”… it all sounds like narina trogon. Yes. That’s the skeet.

I see a fair amount of coverage on this, but to the bigger point: I’ve also seen media criticised for covering Trump’s numerous ludicrous statements like blow-by-blow sports commentary. I offer this less as an argument, than from sheer exhaustion. It can feel “damned if you do; damned if you don’t”.

There are limits of course, but in my experience plenty of people do, in fact, like a smart ass
