I've had some major bouts with depression in my life...becoming most acute in my mid teens. I've been fortunate enough to receive some excellent help when I needed it...from caring therapists and psychiatrists who found the best medication for me.
Get help if you need it. There is hope for us all.

When I first started working at a transport consulting firm in Reston, one of my older colleagues told me everyone with a drivers license thinks they’re a traffic engineer. Then he joked he was double my qualified because he had drivers licenses from two countries.

Something important to understand about ICE thugs in the Twin Cities is that they're harassing innocent kids and parents at bus stops and schools every single day. Even after the Pretti shooting. It's terrorism.
Needless to say that Renee Good and Alex Pretti will go down as heroes here in Minnesota and nationally, their names synonymous with sacrifice and caring for vulnerable neighbors even at the risk of your own life. And hopefully no more innocent lives are lost.

The return of small cars can't happen soon enough.
I was cycling and a man pulled his pickup right out in front of me. I swerved to avoid him. At the next traffic light, we got into a yelling match. I told him he should be more careful. He asked why defiantly. When I said, “because you could kill me”, he completely changed and apologized profusely.
Same age as my kid. I can only imagine how scared he is.

I don’t think people quite understand that the occupation by ICE in the Twin Cities has more or less erased non-white people from public life. They cannot safely exist in any space accessible to the public and moving between private places leaves folks vulnerable to kidnapping by armed masked goons.
