We felt it was important to represent, and to send a signal. I do hope they can be part of a functional PSC, which I do care about.

Lost in the facts? I LOVE that expression! For Johnson, that was totally Freudian… ‘Don’t get lost in the facts; I want you to believe something else.’

As an engineer, I have to defend the expression, as we see people get lost in the facts all the time. Why? Because the facts are often nuanced.

They look more like power ratings. ;)

The religions of the various justices are always pointed out, in recognition that it matters. If religion matters, then the representation should reflect that of the populace, and there should be at least one “none.”

I guess this is supposed to be scary, but I often say, if you’ve loved one black cat, you love them all. It’s beautiful.

I kinda want to say “Of course, they did.” They are pros. They care about their work and didn’t want this data opportunity to go to waste. And if lives depended on it, they knew that, too. So, of course they did. I’m thankful for them and their work, but somehow not surprised.

You must not pronounce O the way I do. I remember it as “oo ee oo ah ah…” etc.

Not to bless his words, but SMRs are pretty advanced; only 2 are in operation, in Russia and China. TVA has committed to build a 300-MW SMR, but SMRs can be as small as 5 MW.

A few things:
- He’s talking about data centers and (perhaps) other new large loads.
- Some are building their own generators (not because he said they could), and some are talking about SMRs (small modular reactors).
- Nobody will build a coal plant for AI; some may locate at an extant plant site.

It’s too easy for that quote to be interpreted as referring to individuals. It’s referring to whole species populations. [I know you know that, but it needs to be said.]

I did pretty much the very same thing. Including the expletive.

I vote in my *enlightened* self-interest because I’m happier when more people are fed and healthy, when the government doesn’t punish people when they’re down.
