Loop being amused by how stupid Siffrin is, and then the slow dawning realisation that this means they're that stupid too.

The sarcasm was unappreciated, but perhaps not unwarranted.

Loop held out a closed fist and muttered something under their breath, and the raft lurched forward as if pushed by an invisible hand.

Amara definitely sensed some kind of magic, but it was unfamiliar.
