Rest in peace.
To the briefly earthbound soul who taught me how to see the light even in the darkest of nights.

I.. One letter. One word. One sigh. My words are my ushabtis bearing echoes of the pyramids, the cosmos, and the screams I was coerced to deny.
Rest in peace.
To the briefly earthbound soul who taught me how to see the light even in the darkest of nights.

There is chaos in order. There are lies that tell the truth. Silence can be loud, monuments can be fragile, the grotesque can radiate, and so on. Even an unfinished thought could end up being endlessly complete. Undoing the self could be a voice disappearing in its own echo.
And yet...

Damn, this one hits hard. That repetition of "none of it is real" is masterful, starts off sounding edgy but then in the end becomes a brutal twist.
It's a full-blown nihilistic punch. Amazing! 💥👊
To Cc: Your rhyming couplets were delicately sharp. To Iggy: Molotov cocktail of a poetry piece. If you ever print that on a protest sign, I'm first in line. To Melody: Sorry, I'm not into haiku but well done. To Yow: 11/10.
Keep being gloriously yourself. The world needs more people like you.

This piece, and I'm referring to the 3 posts collectively as one, was a delight to read. The way you dissect your own creative method with such vivid imagination, and rhythm, made me want to both applaud you avec a standing ovation, and even ask if I could borrow your brain for a day or two.

I knew asking a poet to write about writing poetry in poetry is a slightly risky thing to do. The good kind of risky, though, like handing a cat a ball of yarn.
No regrets whatsoever, because the end result was glorious chaotic perfection!

A favourite location you write at, music you play, something to drink, pen and paper or keyboard, draft poetry immediately or list points and let them simmer...
