How long since the change?

The laws must have changed recently then; I heard this from a guy who used to be a guide years ago that hunters from the states would just cross over, hunt, shoot something and leave it.

It’s good that the laws changed though, and it’s good that the meat doesn’t go to waste

I’m not disagreeing that hunting for food should be legal, but I mean like

*specifically* sport and trophy hunting; it’s just wasteful for no reason other than the sadism of killing something.

I’d be less angry if sport hunters shot another person tbh; animals didn’t ask for our cruelty

Sport hunting should just be outlawed in general imho; I’ve heard of hunters from the states coming over to Canada just to shoot a deer and they don’t even take the meat, they just leave it to rot, it’s disgusting. Like, if you’re not gonna eat what you kill, someone else could.
