Will be interesting to see how this week plays out for Everton now as I assume a big part of our January plans was to accept a low offer for dcl and move Beto out on loan with an obligation, neither of which can happen now.

A winger with pace who can play inside will do for now.

Moyes will be looking up don’t you worry, he potentially has the chance to finish above West Ham and United, he will want that 100%.

But we need spurs to pump Leicester today and then we pump them next week and box off relegation talk then look up.

We’d got so bad under dyche that a manager I was happy to see go 12 years ago because I thought the football was dreadful and had gone stale is now reinvigorating the club to levels we haven’t seen for years.

My favourite bit from the game was (MOTM) Iliman Ndiaye literally begging three sides of Goodison to sing his song after his wonder goal only for absolutely no one to take him on.

We’re not capable of playing football and breaking teams down and they knew that and played on it all game, they pressed our back line but stood off us everywhere else and let us have it.

In fairness to dyche he can’t be on the end of chances scoring them and in the last few games he’s been presented with sitters and missed, dyche can’t control that.

I can see why dyche likes him but it’s clear the Everton fans expect more from their wingers.

Glad to see we aren’t missing McNeil as much as I thought we would and unfortunately doucs (as bad as he is) looks as necessary as ever.
