Don’t discount petty office politics. At his 6 mos review, coworker got promoted & was told “You’re the future of the company” by a VP. Next week he was gone because another VP was fighting with the first VP and wanted to exert her authority so she zeroed out the position’s budget. Ugly. Very ugly.

No, what I mean is when I came over it was along with a whole lot of screenwriters & creatives, and that's what we were talking about. Sure, there were some politics, but it was manageable. Now, politics is the prevailing content in my feed by a very wide margin, rivaling what I get from Twitter.
