If Republicans had any sense, they would be worrying that Democrats are ACCURATELY DESCRIBING Trump's immigration policy as overly sweeping and indiscriminate.
If there is "a lot of popular sentiment" that about 4.5 million Muslims, or less than 1.5% of the population, are going to "impose Sharia Law in America," then our biggest problem is that a lot of Americans are either stupid bigots, or weak-kneed politicians who won't stand up to stupid bigots.
Maybe it's just the corner of Bluesky that I'm reading this morning, but I'm seeing a lot of people misspelling "supersessionism."
(And I'll add that I think it's past time for the lexicographers at @merriam-webster.com to add "supersessionism" to their dictionary.
