My parents used to take me and my sisters to a Little Caesars sit-down restaurant that had menus and waitresses. LC had a very distinctive cheese mix up through the early 1980s that had a lot of character. The pizza was actually very good until they started offering two-for-one pizza in 1980 or so

There is only New York, Chicago (deep dish and tavern style) and Detroit styles of American pizza. Every other supposed “[city] style” pizza is just a sad display of making it wrong and being stubborn about it.
