Grateful to @newrepublic.com who asked for my immediate thoughts in Trumpโs attack on Iran.
In short, the demand for nuclear weapons is about to go way up. If you do not have nuclear weapons, you are vulnerable.

"Since the 1800s, every generation has been smarter than their parentsโโuntil Gen Z."
Thanks to smartphones, the pandemic, and AI, "Gen Z underperforms on basically every cognitive measure, from executive function and literacy, to general IQ, memory, and attention."

I constantly hear people banging on about how bad almond milk is for the environment, but somehow I never hear anyone mention how dairy milk is many times worse for the environment across every possible metric

I ran the numbers in my newsletter two weeks ago. The $100 mill the Post lost in 2024 was equal to about two days of the increase in his net worth since he bought the paper.

Good thing the Washington Post has just gutted its climate desk.
Here's a link: www.washingtonpost.com/climate-envi...
Global warming has suddenly accelerated, and scientists don't fully understand why.
But it's almost certainly some kind of feedback loop.
Also, the high five was not invented until the late 1970s.

A framed yellow door sits at the end of a path between two rows of hedges. Behind the door is an open meadow.
Exhausted and dehydrated, I slowly walk the last few steps. โThis has to be it,โ I think to myself. Taking a deep breath, I close my eyes and turn the handle, whispering a little prayer as I step through. I open my eyes and the last trickle of hope leaks away. I am still in IKEA.
