@huma.bsky.social, while odd, the lube stuff at night could help, I have dry itchy eyes even without contacts in. My eye dr suggested that stuff. do I use it often enough? No bc it’s an extra step when going to bed. But when I do it’s better.
Interesting. I never thought to put them on the lens. Questions:
1. Do you use drops in your eyes before you put them in also?
2. Do you use drops later in the day with them in?
3. Have you ever used the gel/lube stuff when going to bed?

That said, I worked 60+ hrs/week btwn legal aid (minimal) and a restaurant. No money meant I had to work when I could.
Looking back, if I had an ADHD diagnosis and a handle on my depression/anxiety, I probably would have done better & tried.
I didn’t either bc it looked like too much. I was overwhelmed after 1L plus insanity @ home. Going to law school was a ridiculous accomplishment in itself given I’m the first to graduate from college. No exposure to law (except traumatic fam shit). Could it have helped me? Sure. But I needed rest.

As if I didn’t cry enough the other morning, I intentionally chose to watch Eric Dane’s Famous Last Words. I haven’t watched Dr. Goodall’s yet, so I wasn’t sure what type of interview to expect. I should bring t be watching things like that. Way too many feels.

Anyway… Save those voicemails. Transfer them to an external or Google drive type thing. Check your deleted voicemails folder. I bet you’ll find some there. One day they’ll be some of your most treasured “things”.
I might start making people leave voicemails just for this purpose 😂
I don’t remember much of my childhood. Lots of varying forms of trauma starting when I was a little. What I’d give to know his voice & personality. The few stories don’t help much. I was 8 when he died. I hate not knowing him.
with Gordie probably blunted a lot of my feelings when he passed. Not to mention the other family dynamics at play around his funeral. These voicemails are treasured now. I wish these pocket computers were around in 1989. I have zero idea what my bio dad’s voice sounded like now.
