4 years since my dad passed away today, and also going to a funeral today, after going to a lecture. Today is so harsh emotionally. I need to maintain composure, while this is the very moment I should be letting myself feel all the things.

I'm so tired of these sudden goodbyes. I loved her a whole lot. I'll miss her just as much. I don't know anymore. I'm empty and full and wished I could've given her more.

Just yesterday, I was thinking how no matter how many sad things tend to happen during the Autumn-Winter months, it remains my favorite season.
What an absolute cursed situation.
I feel like I'm not allowed to enjoy these festivities and atmosphere and god I'm so tired and done with everything

I never managed to give her the urn of her cat which we adopted after she was unable to care for it.
We never took any photos together? And I realize that only now?
I may not have done our friendship justice in the end.
I don't know why she went through so much, when she deserved so much happiness

She still hadn't reached out, so I was going to make that call myself this week.

She suddenly passed away.

It's incredible how fragile and cruel life can be.
I hate and fear cancer so much.
Most of all I'm so frustrated with myself. So many plans that never happened due to 'inconvenience'.

I learned about 3 weeks ago over the phone that she had liver cancer. A week later we called again and she said she'd call us in a few days with more news. But that call never came. I knew it couldn't be good so I honestly wanted to give her some space. But then I realized a lot of time passed and

There was always SOME inconvenience that made it not happen. Illness. Hospital visits. It's busy. Now is not a good time. Our schedules are not aligned.

And I should've just pushed through. Because now is the worst possible inconvenience. It simply can't happen anymore.

I'll once again shoulder the regret of losing someone and being unable to say goodbye. I was hoping I learned from my previous experiences. But I guess I didn't?

A close family friend unexpectedly died two days ago. We received the news today.
We'd been trying to meet up again for 3-4 years.
