As city centre cultural venues, we stand together to celebrate the diversity of Bristol, and the creativity this contributes to our programme, workforce & communities.

This October, enter the world of Menelik Shabazz (1954-2021), a pioneer of Black British filmmaking. We had the privilege of welcoming him to @wshed.bsky.social in Bristol on several occasions so this strand is close to our hearts 💜

Great turnouts #DCAC @Wshed.bsky.social after watching ‘Deaf’ #Sorda with @hardiewrites. Interesting themes - relationship, family across generation, social norms and most importantly the role of language reflecting the reality of deaf lives within a ‘perfect’ world. Beautifully executed shootings!
