A system forms over the open Atlantic. The system has become better defined over the last 24hrs. The low will drift northeast and then turn eastward. The low will interact with the jet stream. Now the uncertainty is how powerful could the low get.

The ONLY shield the UK and Rep of Ireland has had is the Scandinavian High that's not overly allowed the systems to properly treck into the UK and Rep of Ireland with more intensity.

The jet stream is in hyper drive. The cold air is slowly getting its lows translating into it. This will quickly travel the Atlantic and deliver/spin up powerful areas of low pressure.
