I *think* I grokked how to set the thermostatic valves? Kitchen warm too, all good 👍🏼
🤞🏼it lasts!

Of course I ended up sans heat at the coldest time and now I have it it’s warm out. Of course.

Paris, musée du Louvre, département des Peintures R.F. 2418 Portrait of Jeanne Robertine Tourteau d'Orvilliers, née Rilliet (1772-1862) 1790 Oil on canvas David's clients were in large part drawn from the financial world, like the Rilliet sisters, daughters of a Protestant banker of Swiss descent. David painted their portraits, here presented facing each other, probably for their marriages to young French noblemen. To the slightly distant formality of Madame Thélusson, David opposes her sister's more relaxed pose, seated with crossed legs and a more melancholy air, expressed by her gaze and the unusual off-centring of the figure. The portrait is based on a harmony of blacks and red against a blue armchair

boo mysteries.
Hope I can get a proper conversation w/ a knowledgeable guy who can tell me WHY I need to cheat w/ the boiler to get this result, but yeah. I feel better, even if I’m annoyed at the mysteries.
Thank you for being there, friends 🧡
Okay, update!! There’s still a problem branch of the circuit refusing to heat up at all in the great room BUT by experimenting with the thermostatic valves on each radiator I managed to get the KITCHEN to warm up! I have heat (nearly) everywhere!
Since I leave Friday I’m not calling them back yet.
Stayed up too late *despite* melatonin AND despite firm plan I’d made to sleep earliER instead 🤦🏻♀️
So… hungry again, leaving bed for a snack.
Hope I’ll manage to be productive “tomorrow” with all that but I kiiiiinda doubt it, sigh
Ha! Killjoys was my first thought too but.. it’s a fandom adjacent thing to me, and i didn’t find it easy watching bc i got involved and it was more complex than is easy for me :)) funny

07.12.2025 23:01 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0What sort of genre? For me easy means either I rewatch sthg I know well or a procedural- or both; my go to is Elementary :)
But also The Good Place, Community, Brooklyn nine-nine
A collection of 12 D12, each coming from a different set of dice, each showing a different digit from 1 to 12. Most notably there are 3 bigger dice, an ornate black&white, a black die with orange numbers & Halloween themed decorations, and a green marbled shiny one with gold numbers & deco.
I think I’m good with my dice collection for now; what I need is to find a way to use them :)
In the meantime though, it’s made me happy to slowly build it up. Here’s all the d12, my favorite shape of them all. Not a great picture bc it’s tough to photograph, it turns out!
The information in this video applies everywhere in the US, not just NYC. The examples of what a real warrant looks like vs the ICE permission slip is very helpful.

The thing with French ppl saying there’s no racism is such enormous bullshit, it makes my blood boil :(((
France is such a racist country!!! SO racist!!! And parts of those who abhor racism in theory ascribe still to the “there’s only one human race & I don’t see color” crap so it’s not great D:
