Seems like some of my comments may have been less clear than I hoped in that committee meeting.
My point was that IndyGo riders were left shouldering the burden rather than the City doing so - which I think would have been appropriate. Asking riders to pay a dollar more shouldn't have happened.
It was designed by folks who had a podcast called Hoosier Daddy, based in Fort Wayne in 2020 - 2021.

No family should have to choose between keeping a roof over their heads and risking being kidnapped by ICE.
Evict ICE, not us.
They definitely do hire security - they did in the past and they stepped it up after this incident. But I still think they should pay for more and keep the skyway open more often. I also think they should rely less on overtime IMPD for events.
