But I think the likelihood that large enterprises want to write and maintain their own software for mission critical tasks (requiring an army of humans to review code) is a misunderstanding of corporate & human nature. IMO the competitive vector for disruption is other software vendors.

Why? It's just comp, completely fungible w/ cash by most companies that provide it for broad employee sets (ofc exceptions for management and highly talented folk).
I don't think there is a best argument. It's a nuanced topic on a software by software basis.

Psychological shorts are always a bad idea. Did you make money? Did you flip long at the right time? Only thing that matters when trading the proverbial little pieces of paper is whether you made money. Too many trying to satisfy some intellectual curiosity.

Not sure where this is from, but the timeline from final cut to release (because it was totally digital) meant having toys on the shelves for release involved taking a big gamble on the script. Since the economics of the first film steered heavily in favor of DIS, there was no real reason to gamble.

Yes agree with that. Use cases require people to think of LLMs very differently than how they think of traditional compute.

From a pure economic perspective it's like no one has been paying attention to the fact that oil is umm drastically cheaper on a real basis then when IOCs were interested in VZ.

It's kind of amusing that the MAGA movement was billed as diametrically opposed to the Neocons and yet their leader wants to start a foreign war for oil (and ego ofc). Also amusing that the oil industry reply is thanks, but no thanks.

This is not an asymmetric bet. It is definitionally (extremely) dangerous to be wrong on timing shorting a bubble even if you are right about the eventual outcome.

You really gotta hand it to Trump. He ran on a platform of bringing back high paying jobs for unskilled non-immigrant labor and with every appointment he has lived up to that promise.

The death of music...in any other time period the current political environment would have brought about a cultural movement that infected the music scene. I don't see that anywhere. The kids are not alright.

That Cuban , a man who made his wealth monetizing a bubble, wants little to no regulation of crypto is maybe the most unsurprising thing ever. That he doesn't even understand why his position makes no sense and just wants to yell at regulators is same energy.
