NEW:

No murder weapon was ever produced, and no gunshot residue was found on his clothing.

An ammunition box found at the murder scene contained a fingerprint that did not belong to him.

Yet Temujin Kensu remains behind bars in Michigan.

It’s been 40 years.

Trump’s State of the Union Reminds Us The Republican Party Is Truly Lost More evidence that the Republican Party has been entirely transformed into the party of violence and authoritarianism.

What we saw Tuesday night from the Republican Party was the legislative counterpart to what ICE is doing in the streets. Bullying. Menacing. Illiberal.

The party is just a fascist gang.

Trump’s billionaire allies will now own CNN, Fox News, CBS, WaPo, WSJ and NY Post — plus 185+ local tv stations and news in 100 markets.

They also control X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, TikTok, Truth and Twitch.

This is all by design to manipulate and surveil us.

Pay attention.

Felony disenfranchisement must end, once and for all Despite the possible consequences on election outcomes, felony disenfranchisement fails to receive the degree of attention and condemnation it warrants.

NEW: Felony disenfranchisement is one of the most widespread forms of voter suppression.

Virginia, a state known for being one of the harshest examples of this discriminatory practice, is close to abolishing it — and voters will have the final say this fall, @anjalienjeti.bsky.social writes.

We are honored to be joined tonight by a woman who’s been through hell, Anya Zarutska. In 2022, she and her beautiful daughter. So beautiful. What a beautiful young woman Iryna fled war-torn, war-torn Ukraine to live with relatives near Charlotte, North Carolina. And by the way, what’s going on with Charlotte? Last summer, 23-year-old Irina was riding home on the train when a deranged monster who had been arrested over a dozen times and was released through no cash bail, stood up and viciously slashed a knife through her neck and body. No one will ever forget. There were people on that train. No one will ever forget the expression of terror on Irene, his face as she looked up at her attacker in the last seconds of her life. She died instantly. She had escaped a brutal war, only to be slain by a hardened criminal set free to kill in America came in through open borders. Mrs. Zarutska, tonight, I promise you, we will ensure justice for your magnificent daughter, Iryna.

Trump said in last night's SOTU/rally that the man who killed Ukrainian immigrant Irina Zarutska on a train in NC during what appears to have been a psychotic break was here because of "open borders."

He was born in Charlotte but his name was DeCarlos DeJuan Brown so I guess that's all it takes now

If there’s one thing the ICE invasion has taught us, it’s that police don’t protect us.

In city after city, and town after town, local law enforcement has *supported* ICE operations.

So, what do you do when you’re in crisis?

Do not call the cops.

Supreme Court Declares Trump Economy Too Fucked Up to Be Legal The conservative justices will tolerate a lot of lawbreaking from the Trump administration. But not when it affects their wallets.

The tariffs decision shows that the Supreme Court’s jurisprudence remains flexible enough to stop Trump’s financial fuckery, or anything else that enough conservatives don’t like

“Social murder” is a term created by Friedrich Engels to describe the premature death of marginalized people due to political, social, or economic oppression.

What is happening right now in America is the premeditated, calculated, & planned extermination of children who are trans. This is genocide.
