jousting has to be one of the more topologically interesting sports, as the number of holes gradually increases throughout the game

croquet has the most holes (like 8 or smth), then basketball, and finally games with zero holes such as golf, football🇪🇺, football🇺🇲, and baseball.

pickleball/air hockey don't count, as the holes are too small
