Aye I guess that many toe sizes could end up looking odd, I was thinking something along the lines of this, though I still think the former is overall a more clean design and easier to pull off looking nice, at least on plantigrade

Mmmh, yeah! It's definitely something I haven't set into stone yet, though currently I think I'm leaning towards the 5 toes one.

And about the number of toes yeah, overall it's always neat to see them match, though with the 4 toes design you can always add the 5th on the ankle or somewhere else

Aye I'd agree 4 toes paws is the most definitive anthro look, I've just grown to appreciate the pragmatical asymmetric design of human feet for bipedals, giving a better body balance
