BUT the real hook of the game is how to "catch" pokemons here, and it is building specific habitats for them and make they return to the island. That's what makes it different from a DQ Builders x Animal Crossing.
The story points to something apocalytic, but i think is more the fuzz than the true. No spoilers, congetures in early game, but i think this is happenening in the Cinnabar Archipielago, so yeah, Kanto fans know what's up.
