His work is consistently mistaken for Kaneko's! I spent years trying to argue these painted pieces were transparently not his work (Although i'm still uncertain if the SEGA CD cover here is also Kano, it might be an additional third artist)

I have reason to believe this piece was by Hideki Kano, who did a handful of SMT key arts around the time of the original release. Afaik he was one of scores of freelancers in the industry at the time and doesn't appear to have much of a footprint, but his name was sourced from an ATLUS exhibit!

This is belated but I remember Samantha relating the vision for this bold sequel to "Toy Story" to me once while walking to a local station and it never left my brain. Please please read this one.

PILOT: "BRAT"

AVATAR: "KID CHAOS"

Pure of heart and intent, "Brat" built an Avatar that reflected her teenage OC alter ego - KID CHAOS, the "Wicked Angel". Roleplaying as a tortured antihero who nevertheless saves others, she fights for a brighter future for Sky and Earth.

Every day i'm working on DoL I have the pleasure of seeing something truly special come into focus. It's a great honour to be a part of something that sincerely doesn't look quite like anything else!

I said I wasn't going to elaborate but I would like you to think critically about why it is that The Mona Lisa is your shorthand for "high art". What is it about the Mona Lisa that first attracted you? Do you have a specific opinion on the techniques involved? When did you last see it in person?

Even in rebelling against this I know I will continue to perpetuate it because I can't otherwise engage with critique of art as a whole. The fact that I feel like I have to argue for the elimination of a cultural hierarchy feels like an admission of shame in my position at the base of said hierarchy

Our signifiers for what is "Intelligent" or "profound" or "worthwhile" in art are ironically deeply stupid and superficial and we may entirely lack the tools to extricate ourselves from this straitjacket and just have to struggle against it forever

I won't elaborate on this so i'm essentially just tossing a hand grenade here and sprinting but I think maybe humans have fundamentally damaged our own ability to talk about art permanently and severely because we think there is a distinction between "schlock" and "real"
