So, how many renters are sitting here wondering if they're going to get served section 21 in the next month or so?
Pretty sure we will.

In response to: 15.9.25 Can I explain what to do... What steps do you follow when faced with an emergency? Step 1. Check for danger. Step 2. Approach with stealth. Step 3. Call 999. Step 4. Stay with the person until ambulance arrives. Step 5. The person will be took away by the ambulance. Step 6. The rest is up to the doctors and nurses. Step 7. Say 'Ta da!' like, really loudly so that creatures inside of a wormhole can hear you.
Posted on my child's online school portal, I give you: how to respond to a health emergency. Don't forget to read to step 7, the key one there.

My motherβs lovely retirement cottage on the North Norfolk coast at Cromer has just been reduced to Β£160k.
Itβs full of happy memories, has good storage for this type of property & guest bedrooms available to rent.

That's rough. Social media was a big source of stability for me for ages and I'm struggling without a replacement :(
28.09.2025 15:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Today's thing i bought, hated and need to get rid of. Acupressure insoles with magnets.
They were ludicrously expensive, have listed for Β£20 for 3 pairs, grab yourself a bargain.
Will split (into pairs, not split the packets!) if anyone interested. www.vinted.co.uk/items/718919...
I'm struggling to find where everyone went post twitter. I miss being able to have a conversation at any point of the day - I'm going round loads of places trying to find folks!
28.09.2025 00:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Have discovered if you abandon social media networks, they remove your visibility.
I miss text based, pre algorithm twitter.
My current ambidextrous trackball is failing. It's a kensington orbit, and the replacement is different. Any other comments, recommendations, input?

This is very lovely. I've also lost painting over the last couple years, but just starting to creep back into drawing, courtesy of an anime obsession sparked by 15yo

04.08.2025 15:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Are there any business networks for non binary/ queer neurodivergent folks? So many of the coaching/ networking etc appears to be aimed at women and in the words of Janet, not a girl.
04.08.2025 15:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah. Every single diagnosis, every single bit of support involves so much battling and takes so long.

At least the GP has made enquiries without waiting for the dietician letter, but honestly, I'm just so exhausted by it all.
02.08.2025 09:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is typical of the battles facing parents trying to access NHS services.
Our daughter's specialist nurse referred her to the OT service in the same building.
We received a letter from OT saying the referral had been rejected, bc she hadn't included her email address.
Make it make sense.
And every exchange like this costs money and takes time.
I could save the NHS so much money and effort....
We used straw, but it was in the 70s in Yorkshire!
02.08.2025 09:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Also in sunny Suffolk. Can't get a referral from dietician, you know, the expert in eating who has been supporting children for a year.
Need a paediatrician. At least GP has sent that request in!

31.07.2025 15:21 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0You'll enjoy today's NHS related *****, just posted.
31.07.2025 15:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Locally, there's an ARFID support service.
The dietician thinks that my child should be seen by it.
But they can't refer, you have to have a paediatrician, so now the dietician has to ask the GP to refer to a paediatrician to refer to the ARFID service.
Make it make sense.
I'm going to follow up at the end of the week to check that the referral has actually been registered.
31.07.2025 12:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Agreed. How's you?
30.07.2025 10:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think the referrer assumed that getting the reference number was sufficient, but given the service can't even search on reference number (seriously? Who designed your database/ interface?) it wasn't terribly useful. They are resubmitting as urgent but it'll still be months at best.
30.07.2025 10:18 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0They answered at 23 minutes.
They can't find offspring's referral, made in Nov 2023. So we've waited nearly two years, thinking we were on a waiting list, and we're not.
Said waiting list is about 18 months long, child will be nearly an adult before she sees the service in question.
