Cheery Littlebottom - Une naine à longue barbe, portant des rubans dans sa barbe, une jupe en cuir et des bottes renforcées à talons.

Un groupe de personnage du disque-monde en train de jouer aux cartes. Il y a (de gauche à droite) Nounou Ogg, une vieille sorcière joviale en train de boire directement dans une bouteille de gnôle. À ses pieds il y a son chat Gredin, un vieux matou dépenaillé. Vient ensuite Rincevent, un mage malingre et osseux, qui porte une robe à étoiles et un chapeau sur lequel on peut lire "WIZZARD". En arrière-plan on voit Mustrum Ridcully, l'archichancelier, un mage imposant, à grosse barbe hirsute. Il porte un chapeau sur lequel son cousues de nombreuses poches, et dans lequel est planté un hameçon pour la pêche. Il y a à ses pieds le Bagage, un coffre vivant monté sur des dizaines de petites jambes, et son couvercle s'ouvre sur une rangée de grosses dents. Et enfin il y a le bibliothécaire, un petit orang-outan qui regarde son jeu tout en mâchonnant une carte.

La Garde de Nuit. De gauche à droite: Carotte, un grand soldat aux larges épaules, plutôt beau gosse, portant une épée dans le dos. Samuel Vimaire, le comissaire, un vieil homme un peu débraillé. Il porte une lourde cape, fume un cigarillo, et tient une arbalette. Chicard Chique (Nobby Nobbs) Un petit personnage difforme aux oreilles saillantes, en train de fumer une vilaine roulée. Sergent Côlon, un gros soldat mal rasé qui tient une lance.

Vimaire (un vieux soldat débraillé qui fume le cigarillo) passe à côté de Planteur Je-Me-Tranche-La-Gorge (un petit camelot verreux qui tien un plateau dans lequel il y a des saucisses dans des petits pains.)

Miss Cake (une toute petite dame boulotte habillée tout en noir, avec un immense sac (noir) et un grand chapeau orné de fruits (tous noirs aussi.))

Détritus, un troll en armure, avec un tout petit casque muni d'un système de refroidissement,

Deux versions de mademoiselle Suzanne. Une jeune femme aux cheveux blancs, avec juste une mèche noire. À gauche elle est vêtue d'une robe stricte et ses cheveux sont tirés en un chignon austère, à droite ses cheveux détachés sont volumineux et rebelles, et elle porte une robe noire et de longs gants. Elle tient dans sa main un squelette de souris habillé comme la faucheuse (robe noire et toute petite faux) et il y a un corbeau posé à ses pieds.

Lord Vetinari, un homme voûté et sec, appuyé sur une canne. Il a les traits anguleux et une barbe fine taillée. Lady Sybil: Une femme forte d'une quarantaine d'années. Elle porte une jupe en tweed, des bottes de caoutchouc, et tient un petit dragon dans ses bras.

Nounou Ogg. Une vieille sorcière fumant la pipe et jouant du banjo, assise dans un fauteuil. Elle tape du pied de ses souliers rouges, et à côté d'elle, un chat borgne à l'oreille à demi-arrachée affiche un air mauvais.

Une couverture imitant le style du "New-Yorker", avec le titre "the Morporkier". On y voit le bibliothécaire de l'Université Invisible (un orang-outan) assis sur une pile de livres. Il regarde au loin, l'air triste.
