I think it depends on the person -- some folks actually get a lot of enjoyment out of optimizing their gameplay or finding the "meta" in something.

Wild opinion or whatever but I think that if you're going to attempt to level a job in FFXIV you should attempt to learn the job's abilities and use them in content. Even casual content.

If you are INTENTIONALLY not using a *key part* of your Job's combat identity, you're griefing other players.
