i live right by tracks as well and i swearrr they've gotten louder, not just the horns but lately the whole building shakes when it passes by which never used to happen. i wouldn't mind that much if it didn't always pass at 3am 😭

solas'a would just kind of post whatever he feels like but most of his videos are at least 2-3+ hours long and slightly unhinged. he uploads maybe 3-4 times a year, usually about aetherology, literature, history, etc. like if hbomberguy or contrapoints were an evil wizard

bats are kind of obvious. they're the vampire animal. he's based on and heavily inspired by vampires.

all of these also tend to be viewed somewhat negatively, bc they're creepy or thought to be evil or bring misfortune. he has a soft spot for them. he thinks being a little evil is ok, as a treat.

owls are nocturnal and often associated with the moon, magic, and secrets — three of his favorite things. he keeps many secrets, especially from those who think they know him well. they're also a reference to his namesake (36th demon of the ars goetia, solas, typically depicted as an owl).

elaborating on the "why"s bc i like talking about my blorbo (sorry) (jk no i'm not) (major yappage incoming)

crows are carrion birds, opportunistic scavengers. they symbolize adaptability and mischief, reflecting his own nature. also he loves shinies and he can and will hold a grudge forever.

finally...... it only took like 200 clears

some of the dye channel choices in this game are just. baffling.

you have no control over prominent accent colors BUT you can dye the 2-pixel-wide metal buttons you can't even see without zooming in all the way, the system is tooootally fine

planning to have his model reflect it better eventually but solas'a is torn uppp. he's absolutely covered in scars. a lot of them are just from fights, but he was also thoroughly bitten by a sea monster. so that's something i'll have to put together myself when i find the energy lol

i'm working on the diadem pteranodon rn so everything is just all crafting materials all the time if i'm being honest

i forgot my saddlebag even existed tbh 😭 i can't open it in cities so it's just out of sight out of mind for me. i keep dyes, materia, and the weird currencies that take up space on one retainer and furniture and crafting mats on the other. my inventory is also full of crafting mats usually.
