We need a return to bold progressive Black politics versus comfortable Black politics.

The Black agenda over Black faces in high places. That is his legacy.

More of us must follow in the Jackson tradition.

This is a moment of mourning, but also a call to action, because our job is not done. We must take decisive, strategic risks like Rev. Jackson did.

The Reverend knew that our freedom dream could not wait on the timeline of status-quo politics.

When he spoke, people from big cities and rural towns – Black and white and everything in between – hung onto every word. That is the legacy we will be responsible for upholding.

Decades later, his work is the model we use to build a multi-racial, multi-generational coalition that cuts across class – sweeping progressives of all colors into office nationwide to win real victories for working people.

Rest in power to the civil rights icon Jesse Jackson, who was an inspiration for his great city of Chicago, this nation, and the whole world.

And for my party. Because if Jesse Jackson had not run for president, there would be no @workingfamilies.org.

When Zohran Mamdani won, pundits tried to say it was a fluke.

Joke’s on them. In Jersey City, voters not only turned out in force to elect a new mayor, but for the first time ever, the Jersey City Council will have a Working Families Party majority.

RESULT: James Solomon will be the next mayor of Jersey City.

Solomon, running on a more progressive lane with WFP support, has easily defeated the establishment candidate Jim McGreevey, the former governor who resigned in scandal two decades ago.

We're primarying John Fetterman.

Last week, Fetterman again sold out working Pennsylvanians. He was the deciding vote for a Republican budget bill that will strip healthcare from over 400,000 Pennsylvanians.

We deserve real working class leadership in the Senate, not a Trump-enabling Democrat.
