Dear Lucy On the eve of the by-election, your Labour party spokesperson has admitted to the Huffington Post that a Labour party leaflet has been delivered through doors with your imprint recommending a vote for Labour by a tactical voting organisation which does not exist. This is deeply troubling, it is actually lying to voters. Did you approve this? Do you feel the Labour Party in government should be held to different standards in terms of honesty to the British public? In your last letter to me you mentioned your ‘very extensive data’ and ‘having spoken to over a third of eligible voters’ which led you to an understanding that the by election ‘was a contest between labour and Reform’. Clearly this latest development only tells voters one thing - you will employ any type of political deception (or in Urdu “Dhoka” ) to win. You will be very aware that all three real tactical voting organisations are recommending a vote for the Greens as the best way to stop Reform. Lying to the voters, as you have been caught doing, raises the real prospect that Reform will be the beneficiaries, something you have said that you don’t want. Labour has invented a made-up tactical vote organisation to trick Gorton and Denton into voting for them.

How can this even be legal?

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich posts a video on Facebook responding to Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa, who warned that the far-right Israeli cabinet member is trying to expand Israel’s borders from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. Smotrich is filmed getting onto a bulldozer that is being used to build a new road to benefit settlers in the West Bank. “We’re setting out to destroy the dreams of Mohammed Shtayyeh, who thinks that one day an Arab state will be established in the land of Israel,” Smotrich says, misnaming the PA prime minister. Shtayyeh hasn’t been in the position since March 2024. “Forget about it. From the river to the sea, only a Jewish state,” Smotrich says. Many Israeli officials and American Jewish organizations have characterized the phrase “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” as antisemitic.

I was reliably informed by many, many, many people on here over the last two and a half years that "from the River to the Sea" was an exterminationist phrase when said by college students.

Wonder what it is when said by Israel's finance minister, who is also a deputy defense minister.

Dear Gorton and Denton voters: let’s assume you want to give Starmer a bloody nose. You could vote for a local lass who will work her arse off for you as your MP.
