Charmise began her career as a Visitor Guide at the Capitol Visitor Center, leading specialized tours for Members of Congress, high ranking officials, staff, and the public.
Prior to joining the Office of the Whistleblower Ombuds, Charmise served as a clerk for the House Science, Space & Technology Committee, supporting Members and staff during hearings and markups, and managing official committee records.
Charmise brings over a decade of nonpartisan experience on Capitol Hill, where she has established and maintained active working relationships with Member and Committee offices.
Charmise Jackson serves as the Member and Committee Relations Manager of the Office of the Whistleblower Ombuds, a nonpartisan House support office.
She leads the Office's outreach and engagement with House offices and develops strategies to maximize the Office’s impact.

As a single mother, Kalise brings a powerful perspective on leadership, resilience, and representation-and is passionate about using technology to connect communities and expand participation in our democratic process.
Today, she oversees all technology operations for the Office of the Democratic Leader in Washington, D.C., and New York, supporting everything from official congressional delegation travel abroad to launching the first remote voting app used in Democratic leadership elections.
With nearly 15 years in IT-including five in Congress-Kalise has helped lead major technology initiatives across federal agencies like the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Census Bureau, and played a key role in deploying Maryland's statewide electronic courts system.
Kalise is the Director of Information Technology for the Office of the Democratic Leader on Capitol Hill.
