My transformation back to Hallmark holiday movie main character is complete.
Her boyfriend actually makes most of these candies! She makes the peanut butter balls (pictured) and then packages them into trays with him. She’s always been more of a baker than a candy maker.

If your first instinct relative to the images coming out of Gaza is to litigate rather than condemn, you are rotten inside.
I keep holding onto what Omar El Akkad said, "One day, everyone will have been against this."
But what consolation is that if there is no one or nothing left?
People I know still wince at and even challenge words like "forced starvation".
l often think back to what Ta-Nehishi Coates said on CBS Mornings in September when antagonized over and over again by its anchor:
Either apartheid is right or it is wrong.
Whole family trees whittled down to an orphaned three year old amputee. International aide organizations unified in their pleas and their language (genocide).
And it’s complicated?

People still say that to me about Gaza. Two years into this mess, into what has evolved to be a sociocidal war whereby an entire society's infrastructure and identity is being eradicated.
