Jon Young's review of A Part Of America Therein, 1981 from Trouser Press (Issue 84, April '83)
I don't think Young was that keen about the band really π
An Older Lover - youtu.be/nSFIXygHyNQ?...
The seventeen victims at Dunblane Primary School 30 years ago today. Chilling to see their names and ages again. Remember them when anyone starts chatting shit about relaxing the gun laws.
Too big or too small?

You pays your money & takes your choices with Billy Childish. 4 debut albums, either solo or with various groups he was involved in. All worth a listen.
Dreadful commentary by Motson, saying we had the effontery to take the lead.
Arsebiscuits
Middle lad's been made redundant.
Grafter.
Anyone know of owt in the Greater Manchester area ???

A really good listen.
There was also a fishing trawler called Notts County that ran aground and was wrecked on the coast of Iceland in 1968. Not a happy place for us.

Saturday
Football away day. Best beer trip of the season
Full English starter
Pre-match beers - Great Western, Wolverhampton & Beacon Hotel, Sedgley. Post match beers hopefully Bull & Bladder, Brierley Hill & Ma Pardoe's Netherton. Bit of a shame there's a game to get in the way.

Cowboy George - youtu.be/9BucrHqcRz0?...
Nottingham seemed to be regular stop off for them, can't always remember who was on with them though. Don't recall any outside gigs but also my memory not as good nowadays so maybe there was, do remember seeing them playing the Marcus Garvey , Victoria Leisure Centre, The Garage and The Bali Hai π

Redskins - Neither Washington Nor Moscow
Music for dancing on the barricades to. I quite like that they just released one top notch album and then that was it.
Attended some cracking gigs of their's back in the day.
It's wonderful
They certainly moved on. I liked it at the time but don't really play it now. Sometimes when I want to listen to a racket I'll put it on, but until today, it's been a while.
Think it was on Peel that I first heard it.
