I am looking for a version of this graph of global CO2 emissions by region, but projected out to 2050, for example using the @iea.org's World Energy Outlook or similar. Does anyone know if this exists?

Thanks in advance!

Wharton has not one but two environmental economists on the market this year! Benji's paper studies how the pricing of a scarce resource - water - affects housing markets in the U.S. Check out his great thread below!

Hello #EnergySky #EconSky! I have a simple question:

How many different companies own transmission infrastructure in the U.S.?

The EIA has this handy graphic on distribution companies, and generation is similarly easy to find. Help would be great. Thanks!

Policymakers can support sustainable development by providing subsidies or financing for energy efficient technologies among low-income households.

The Jikokoa cookstove costs $40 but saves $120 per year in fuel savings, generating a large return on investment.

3.5 tons is the potential amount of CO2e the stove reduces each year from the production, transport, and burning of charcoal.

Can cookstove subsidies reduce CO2 emissions?

@joshtdean.bsky.social and I wrote an overview of our research demonstrating that @BurnMfg's Jikokoa/EOCA Char stoves cut 3.5 tons of CO2 - and save $120 in fuel - per household per year.

Ms. Cox’s physicians explained that some families with a trisomy 18 diagnosis
choose to continue their pregnancies, while others choose abortion. She was told that in her case,
there was virtually no chance that their baby would survive to birth or long afterwards, so Ms. Cox
asked about termination. Ms. Cox was shocked when her physician told her that due to Texas’s
abortion bans, as long as her baby had a heartbeat, she would not be able to obtain an abortion in
Texas. All they could do was continue to monitor the baby for cardiac activity. If the baby’s
heartbeat stopped, they could offer her a labor induction, but because of her prior C-sections,
induction carries a serious risk of uterine rupture. If the baby survived to term, Ms. Cox could
receive an induction or C-section, but it was clear to Ms. Cox that C-section was the safer option
for her health because of the risk of uterine rupture with induction given her prior two C-Sections.
Yet Ms. Cox’s physicians also explained that

Texas won't let Kate Cox get an abortion even though her fetus has a fatal genetic anomaly and she is suffering agonizing, ongoing pain. She just sued in state court demanding the right to terminate the failed pregnancy immediately. reproductiverights.org/wp-content/u...

Face droop, half-body paralysis, and slurred speech are symptoms of stroke. ***IMMEDIATELY*** go to the hospital.

Relatedly, things I learned today:
- Brains are important, vulnerable, and really like oxygen
- Access to healthcare is life- and limb-saving and I am so grateful for it.
