As a high schooler I remember, in the bad years in Iraq, PBS News Hour would end each night with the names of the fallen.

To say their names is to bear witness. To remember. And all wars are fought twice…

150 years later, meat falls from the sky again in this Kentucky county The Kentucky Meat Shower Festival was held over the weekend in Bath County, commemorating a strange occurrence in Kentucky.

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the 1876 Kentucky Meat Shower, a small plane dropped β€œ1,876 mini meat-sticks” over the county this weekend. (Today is the actual anniversary, though.)

And people say we live in the worst possible timeline.

That’s incredible. What a world we live in. Genuinely. That’s insane. And we celebrate it to this day. God I love this country.

I was gonna look it up but I bet there’s some folks of a certain age who could school me… there’s a famous tv bit about like a radio station and they are dropping like frozen turkeys or something and it becomes a real problem? This reminded me of that

As weird as it is, the marine corps just gets geeked up for war. They don’t much bring the Jesus. Don’t get me wrong there were some. But generally the marine corps was its own religion separate from Christianity. They see it as a chance to break stuff and that’s all they need.

03.03.2026 03:24 β€” πŸ‘ 15    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 3    πŸ“Œ 1

This is so accurate. Real ones know. The Air Force is weird.

Took years of persistence, but we are finally free to court disaster freely, and immediately, based on one man’s caprice.

And there is nothing stopping the worst from happening. Nothing to blunt the wild swings.

We’ll find out just how ignorant they are.

Veterans β€˜split’ over Iran strikes. Some see payback, others see another β€˜forever war’ President Donald Trump has said military operations against Iran could last four to five weeks β€” or longer. Veterans have heard this before.

"Founding Fathers left the role of going to war in the hands of Congress, to ensure the American people had a voice in matters of foreign policy: It is essential the elected leaders in Washington debate and vote on these actions in line with the Constitution."

I’m shocked and heartbroken at the callousness and capriciousness with which this man speaks about sending other’s children to war and their deaths. When there are no ROEs or boundaries, allies end up killing each other. Every American should be furious. May their memories be a blessing.
