What also feels awkward to think about is an irl is an diehard pokemon fan, and we often talk about it whenever we meet up. But lately all I've been doing is criticizing and pointing out many "Wtf is this shit" moments. I feel bad cause I know he still has fun with the games for what they are.

Maybe Scarlet/Violet disappointed me so much that I'm worried Legends ZA, and franchise as a whole, will continue to disappoint me.

At this point it's mostly nostalgia that's motivating me to play more pokemon.

One of the rare times I'm not getting a pokemon title day one 😭idk if it's because I can't get a Switch 2 for now or moreso the fact that Pokemon games recently have just been so...outdated?? I want to be excited but I can't help but think of potential glaring issues..

All these players onscreen except me(Jade) are HR999 and they just stand around doing nothing and occasionally emote..

I swear like half the people who are HR999 just do nothing but sit in the lobby and flex they're HR999..Are y'all that fuckin bored of the game or need a massive ego boost?

It's jarring..I think revenge stories can be done well and I genuinely enjoyed Yotei's, but I feel revenge stories are ultimately more...formulaic then most others.

Not trying to say Yotei's story was disappointing or even bad, but it felt more predictable.

Overall, loved it! Would recommend it, and it probably could have been my GOTY if it weren't for Silksong.

In terms of story I still think Tsushima's is better but in terms of gameplay I'll prefer Yotei's so I guess they're even 😅

Yeah that and there are games that don't quite have my full curiosity specifically the gameplay. Final Fantasy 14 is one example. MMOs are not my cup of tea but I heard it has some of the best recent FF stories and lore in the franchise with Omega being one of them

Currently on S4 of Haikyuu and it's so cool how they show progression with the characters in that formulaic shonen type beat - but instead of learning new or enhanced powers like in say The big 3, Hunter X Hunter, Demon Slayer, etc it's more techniques and knowledge in volleyball lol

I think you can install steam and run games on steam just fine on linux. I read around a bit and apparently there's something called Proton which essentially allows windows based stuff to run on linux.

Have at least 10 Savage Omega wins by now. Omega is still difficult but the real challenge now for me is having competent teammates...
