Can I just say (even as an American) that lots of other Americans are disgusting and disgustingly entrenched in the capitalist ideals? I saw people arguing with actual Danish people about the taxes they pay, and how they would NEVER pay for freeloaders on a national health system. Gross.

Well, I quit smoking just over a month ago, but I’ll start back up if that’s what it takes. 😬

Charlie Kirk started the Professor Watchlist, which caused friends of mine and their families to be terrorized by right-wing assholes. So, you know, fuck everyone trying to find some nugget of decency in that shitpile.

Just want to insert some quotes from Charlie Kirk: • "If my 10-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted and became pregnant, I would require her to carry the baby to term." • "If I see a Black pilot, l'm gonna be like, 'Boy, I hope he's qualified!" • "Martin Luther King was awful. He's not a good person. He said one good thing he actually didn't believe." • "The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was a huge mistake." • "Trans people are a throbbing middle finger to God. They're an abomination." • "What does being trans even mean? ... We must ban trans-affirming care — the entire country." • The 'Great Replacement' (a Nazi theory) is not a theory, it's a reality."

You have to go steal a white person's slot." • "More Mexicans were arrested for federal crimes in the United States than American citizens." (Highly untrue) • "You have to ask, what else is she lying to him about? Is she stealing money?" If this is the kind of hateful rhetoric you spew, then no… I don’t care that you’re dead.

Charlie Kirk spent his life‘s work and all of his energy and time targeting out-groups while arguing for a world in which gun massacres would be easy to enact, plentiful, and inevitable, and he became famous and wealthy doing it, and we’re now not supposed to mention that because it’s not polite.

The president went on TV to attack political opponents and blame them for the killing of Charlie Kirk, even though we don’t know who shot him.

If there is anything this man can do to worsen the situation, he will do it. Despicable.

Which work? Calling for gay people to be stoned to death? Blaming airplane crashes on black pilots? Anti-vax bullshit? Election denialism? Pushing Great Replacement Theory?

Kirk’s murder is awful and ominous for this country. But no, we don’t need to honor him or “continue his work.”
