Getting out of the house, in and out of the car without putting weight on my foot is really hard and tiring.

I am already thinking about games to stream when I come back. Still not 100% when that will be, I want to make sure I am fully ready physically and mentally to be back.

Recovery update! (This might be many post sorry)

So last few days have been rough, but I’m doing okay, pain isn’t as bad as the first surgery. I think it’s cuz I got a nerve block this time so when that finally wore off the pain wasn’t as bad. I’m nervous about my post op appointment on Thursday.

Just got out of surgery/recovery, other than my throat being sore from the breathing tube and a bit of nausea I’m okay.

Couple more days before surgery #2, I feel more nervous than last time even tho I kinda know what to expect.

Trying to game as much as I feel up to right now, since I’ll be stuck in bed for 2 weeks.

This time in between surgery 1 and surgery 2 has gone by faster than expected. Next Friday is when I go in to get my left Achilles tendon lengthened.

Walking is slowly getting easier, but I think will be better once my left is done and fully healed. So until then just trying to relax and do my PT.

I realized it’s been a hot minute since I updated on how my recovery is going from surgery #1. I’ve been out of the walking boot for a week now, relearning to walk is harder than you think. Been focusing on doing my ankle exercises and just walking.

Well tomorrow will be 2 weeks since my first ankle surgery. So that means I can start putting weight on it. It’s gonna be hard and I will be using a walker to help at least for the first few days.

I also finally get to take a full shower tomorrow, so I’m nervous about getting around but excited

So after over a week on bed rest today I decided to sit at my desk.

I still can’t put weight on my ankle but I propped it up with a pillow. I somehow lost track of time and I ended up sitting there for 6 hours.
Honestly ankle feels fine, my back however is very sore. So I am back in bed now lol

Post op appointment done! Was super quick. He took off the bandages and checked everything and it looks good. Redid the bandage, I need to keep it on and continue no weight for another week. Then I can take off the bandage, shower everything, and walk in the boot for about 10-14 days. Now back home!

Sorry it’s been a few days since I’ve updated here. I’ve mostly just been on bed rest so not a lot going on.
My surgeon was right and the first 4 days were the worst in terms of pain. We are almost a week post surgery and today I have my post op appointment.
So will update once that’s over later!

So last night was really rough, trying to get comfortable was next to impossible.
The pain isn’t too bad, more like a bad pulled muscle.

My surgeon said the first 3-4 days will probably be the worst, so hopefully soon things won’t be too bad.

I’m out of surgery, 100% success. My throat hurts the most cuz of the breathing tube. Gotta wait about 30 mins or so and then we can start the process of going home.

Got the call from the hospital that I have to be there at 6:15am on Friday, surgery is around 7:30am.

Got my self a new ride for recovery to hopefully get around better, it was not fun to put together tho.

Officially 1 week until my first ankle surgery, nerves are starting for sure.

One thing I realized is as a side sleeper.. sleeping after surgery isn’t going to be fun. Will have to sleep on my back with my leg up.. yay

Getting my crutches and boot today from my pre op appointment has made things super real. First surgery is in 9 days, totally not nervous at all!

If anyone says come to Texas it’s fun.. they are lying!

I found not 1, not 2 but 3 scorpions just chilling under the bed in Honey’s cage!

She was trying to playing with one that was kinda poking out. Then we went to pull the bed out and my mom sees 2 more!

So I hate Texas.. someone save me

I will try to be active here and on other socials with updates and things. I’m hoping to be back no later than Nov/Dec but we will see.

Just depends on how the surgeries go and how recovery goes.

I feel terrible even typing this, but I have to cancel stream again. Between the terrible pain I’m in and just mentally not feeling up to it, I gotta cancel.
I know this break will be a good thing physically to focus on recovery, but I need it mentally as well.

This pain is like destroying me at this point. I really want this week to be a good week of streams but of course on top of my chronic pain... Aunt Flo started lastnight.

So at least for today I am gonna take the day off. I have my first pre op appointment tomorrow, so that should be fun.

So been trying to get things ready for surgeries (sorry I know I’ve been talking about it alot) but realized I needed some more lounge outfits. Gotta make sure I can fit the boot/brace in them.

Our last stream for a bit will be July 25th!
No official return date yet as I don't know when the 2nd surgery will be. But hopefully I won't be gone super long, just need to focus on recovery. I will try to post updates on socials as much as I can <3

Part 2/2

So lil update I got my first surgery date and it came with a few pre op appointments and post op appointment. This is a lot more than overwhelming than I anticipated. So I think next week might be my last streaming week at least till both surgeries are over and I’m recovered.
