Oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili has been funding Georgia's main anti-Western propaganda channel TV Imedi directly from his companies. Between 2018 and 2022, companies linked to Ivanishvili issued loans exceeding 200 million GEL (over $65 million).
The sanctioned are involved in repressions against protesters and non-governmental organizations.
The sanctions include a travel ban to Czechia and the freezing of assets.
