The Necromes have no life force left, no Wakfu. They’re pure Stasis, feeding off of others’ Wakfu.

They’re the reason a whole section of the cosmos is dead.

And because he can’t, it means it’s impossible for Nora and him to be reborn, even when she dies. If we find a way to cure Efrim, then they can return to the reincarnation cycle peacefully. We haven’t found one yet, if there even is. We simply assume there must be, and so we’ve been looking.

How I and my siblings each have a twin, and when one of us dies, our life force returns to our dofus, where we’ll eventually be reborn together as twins again. But Efrim, he was turned into one of those monsters, making it impossible for him to go back into his dofus.

For every one populated plant I stop at, I pass tens of empty ones, tens more uninhabitable ones, and a tiny handful of dead ones. I stay far away from that corner of the cosmos, believe me.

As you might have guessed, then, I don’t go bouncing around willy-nilly. There’s always SOME method to my madness. And so there’s simply no reason to stop at places that won’t benefit me, such as uninhibited ones.

Now, if you’re asking me how many of those I pass by, that’s a different question.

I consider myself more of an archivist, not a historian, so putting together a puzzle of the past isn’t my priority when there are worlds with living subjects I can document if not talk to and learn from instead.

I haven’t been bored even once since I left. That’s the type of life that suits me.

But the tomes I’ve collected! Filled to the brim with notes and samples and pictures! Oh, it’s no museum, but it’s a grand library, portable and penned by my own (two!!) hands. I would like to think the others might be proud of me, but I’m sure they never are. No, this is for me, only me.

Every star has its history, every continent on those stars—assuming they’re even populated that is, you would be surprised—has its own culture and diverse set of species.

I can’t take them all with me anymore, of course, but I can study them while I’m there, and I can sometimes even talk to them.

I’ve seen more in these short few years than I have in every past reincarnation combined. Oh yes, I’ve seen it all, and yet seen nothing at all in the grand scheme of things! It’s magnificent, I say, these endless possibilities and intrigues!

To think, eons ago I took any measure necessary to explore the cosmos even once, and now I can do it whenever I please. No fuss, no fanfare, I just say so, and voilà! Off we go to some new star.

It defeats the purpose without everybody else, but at least I have Shinonome by my side this time.
