The so-called Trump Ukrainian peace plan now shrouded in utter confusion in Washington. This is what happens when special envoys with no diplomatic credentials are allowed to go rogue, delivering Putin's narrative for him.

BREAKING: Elon Musk has immediately disabled the "Account based in" feature on Twitter after more than 50% of the MAGA grifter accounts were found to be based outside of the US.
Most of the pro-Israel and MAGA propaganda accounts were being run from India.

No Reform MPs attended Parliament today for the urgent question on Russia, because the Kremlin didn't think it was a good use of our time.

Brexit party MEPs vote against plans to tackle Russian propaganda Resolution seeking upgrade of EU counter-disinformation unit nevertheless passes easily

Anyone know why Nigel Farage and his fellow MEPs voted against plans to tackle Russian propaganda?

Coincidently, it was around the time Nathan Gill was taking bribes from Russia.

Analysis of the language used in Trumpโ€™s Ukraine โ€œpeace planโ€ shows it was drafted in Russian and translated into English.

Again, I recall Michael Gove in Parliament basically saying to one pissed off Tory MP after another: Letโ€™s just shitefest this disastrous drivel over the line and argue about the details later. An argument that appears to have won over basically everyone who matters, who then sold it to the public.

Sir John Major: โ€œBrexiteers predicted other countries would follow their lead and leave the EU. None have. All saw only too clearly that Brexit was packed with disadvantages. As we meet nine further nations now wish to join, which is an apt comment on how the world saw Britain's decision.

Keir Starmer loathes Trump as much as the next Brit does. Starmer is being diplomatic (sycophantic) because he believes circumstances require it โ€ฆ for now.

No, that person deserves to suffer or die, but that doesnโ€™t mean the state should kill them. It serves no purpose except vengeance (it doesnโ€™t deter, doesnโ€™t keep the public safer than incarceration and it certainly doesnโ€™t rehabilitate). A full-life term is enough vengeance in a civilised society.

The death penalty is the mark of an uncivilised society. This is one of the starkest cultural differences between Europeans and Americans, Iโ€™m proud to say. I sincerely hope the current sweep of populism doesnโ€™t drag Europeans down to the level of Americans.

Thereโ€™s an important difference between feeling that the perpetrators of particularly vicious or cruel crimes deserve to die and believing that the state should have the power to execute them.

Plus, I hate some of the cowardly things theyโ€™ve done to pander to the lowest common denominator, on climate measures and on rights to free expression in particular. Being slightly less dreadful than Tories isnโ€™t good enough. They need to remember their voters.

I agree, but they need to step up their comms game. I follow politics and itโ€™s still hard to find out what theyโ€™ve done, what theyโ€™re planning and why. Their comms are worse than dire.
