Semester Recap!! π£οΈ
We started the semester off strong with a great BBSB program retreat! Hosted in the St. Louis Zoo, we got to hear some really great talks and posters from students and faculty. As well as some wonderful talents and some interesting(?) karaoke performances in the talent show!
We had a great time getting to know some of our first year BBSB graduate students over coffee! We wish you the best as you continue to settle into graduate school, and we hope to see you around!

A giant shoutout to our Event Planning Chairs, @ericabiven.bsky.social and Aaron Ammerman for putting together this creative event that was such a blast!
GSC's main student event was a scavenger hunt this spring! Students split into groups and were sent to find objects or complete various tasks across the medical campus and local Forest Park area. What a super fun way to get together (and get some steps in π )!
Very excited to share our latest work, βMitochondrial presequences harbor variable strengths to maintain organellar function,β led by the fantastically talented @washubbsb.bsky.social graduate student Youmian Yan. A π§΅
