I can’t get how people can download and play gatcha games without immediately feel like they are trying to aggressively get money I don’t have.
Every ‘deal’ or ‘event’ or anything is just a way to try and get money. They don’t actually care about what they’re selling you, as long as you buy it.
I'll give myself a 6/10 for these, but here's a recreation of Route 47 from HGSS (in that it looks nothing like it) and the Safari Zone super simplified into a 'Safari Park'. I'm happy with them, mostly, but this is only the first draft.

Oohh I figured out how to replace the font in Crystal. It’s super easy, actually. I’ve got a new one already in, and it’s surprisingly good, but I think there could be better!

Another distraction that works well enough
One fun and distracting thing is working on stuff like PokeCrystal when you know nothing of assembly code or anything. I don’t expect to be able to do any real neat tricks, but having my own custom ‘version’ is very appealing.
