my comics advice that's somewhat related to "show feet" is that imo learning to draw distant things via less detail is more useful than scaling down your brush. a lot of newbies want to draw distant/small figures by just drawing smaller, but it turns mushy! and it takes forever!!

the only good advice is actionable imo

three example panels showing how much better flat color looks with a big cartoonish expression than if you involve shading

frankly i'm anti-shading at all when it comes to cartoony styles. if it's not telling you anything about the lighting, you're just adding minutes to your work time for no reason. what does shading add to the expression of this panel? nothing at all. i would argue it actually makes it stiffer.

i've made many advice posts for comics in my time but today i'm begging cartoonists who want to do the big exaggerated expressions: stop shading them like the rest of the comic. if your comic has shading, for that one panel: no it doesn't

he would be so obsessed with his absol to an almost personality changing degree. guy is so lonely. absol tolerates it and acts like it doesn't love him that much but you'll still find it waiting in the window if he goes anywhere without it.

A lot of creators essentially saying "My work might contain nudity and sexual situations, but it's NOT porn. My work is important and artistic, while their work is dirty, which is still okay to hate and censor." But guess what! The purity squad makes no such distinction.
