There's a lot of cool work one could do in joint consideration of theoretical virtues. We kind of know how to weigh parsimony against fit, but what can you sacrifice for interpretability? How many log likelihood units is idea generation worth, etc.

Yep, exactly. In theory, it's a win all around. More incentive for partners to collaborate, more flexibility for partners, more realistic policy roll outs, etc.

No reason to limit this to journal experiments either; the same idea can be done for any multi-unit policy experiment.

Note, by the way, that you only get an email invitation to vote if you have opted to receive emails from the Psychonomic Society -- but all members and fellows can vote!

This meta trial idea is pretty cool. Eventually you could arrive at a situation where journals help researchers get individual credit for research labor on large collaborative projects
