Sunrise over the St. Lucie canal. The sky has a few pink wispy clouds and the pines and palms on the far shore reflect onto the still water.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone π
May you have some time to reflect on everything beautiful in your life.

that I could draw in my ribs like an expert,
knew the fundamentals in my heart,
to exhale what I did not need."

The back of the Barack Obama library in St Petersburg, fl.
The view from the back deck of the Barack Obama main library in St. Petersburg, fl. There's a small lake and an anahinga drying it's wings in the foreground.
Our main library is done with it's remodel after years of being closed.
It's so nice -my second visit this week. View from the back deck - all hail libraries.

The cover of the poetry book Hardly Creatures by Rob Macaisa Colgate. The cover depicts a pink salamander on a yellow alabaster classical sculpture of a woman's head but the head is broken and only the bottom half under her nose is there.
I'm loving this collection.
So much meta context for a museum nerd like me and I love how accessibility is a given instead of an add on.

Gulfport Rising β A Community Memoir
Lynn Taylor invited more than 40 Gulfportians to share their experiences from the 2024 hurricane season to create a memoir: 'Gulfport Rising'.
Last year's three hurricanes did tremendous damage to our little town. One of our local authors coped by creating an anthology. I have a poem in the book.
