There’s definitely something in the argument that the Premier League has lost something in recent years. This season’s Champions League knockouts and the Euros feel so fresh in comparison.
Didn’t think this team/cycle/project/whatever had the capacity to make me feel like that again. That’s all I want, a team to really care for and they gave it everything.
Going to Dubrovnik in May, so currently rewatching Game of Thrones and instead of watching Spurs I just watched the episode where Oberyn fights The Mountain. Far less traumatising.
Completely crumbling here, which is nothing new at Stamford Bridge, but so obvious that everyone has given up on this project.
What a show. Can’t believe we have to wait another year now.
Still thinking about Bergvall’s performance last night. Not just the athleticism and bravery on the ball, which we knew about already, but I was so impressed with the amount of times he nipped Alkmaar attacks in the bud. Showed Bissouma and Bentancur how that position should be played.
I’ve watched less non-Spurs football this season for a number of reasons, so when I do watch top-level games like this it genuinely takes me slightly by surprise how good other teams are.
Like most, I’m completely done with the current leadership, but United are a concerning reminder that there’s a strong chance it could get a lot worse if Levy ever does leave.
Weird to say this after growing up with them completely dominating English football, but thank god Manchester United are about to make me feel a bit better about Spurs.
Improves the vibes of any game I hear it in by about 150%
Right, in fairness Ipswich aren’t playing a low block, so…
Son assist, Johnson goal. Unbeatable ball knowledge.
Spence and Udogie starting together is very exciting, but Sonny and Brennan against a low block is enough to drive a person to insanity, so I have mixed feelings about today.
I thought we were going to be so up for this and even if it was too much for them, go down fighting. But yikes…
Is this what it felt like in the ‘90s with every win feeling incredible because they were so rare?
@nathanaclark.bsky.social tell me he’s good
Man, that is the best I’ve felt about Tottenham in AGES. Nothing beats academy products scoring.
Tottenham Hotspur play one single match without someone getting injured challenge.
I’m sure we’re about to see a hamstring explosion on a scale humankind has never witnessed before, but there’s no doubt my mood and general happiness is much improved when I get to watch Micky van de Ven play football.
I believe in Richarlison.
It’s just weird enough to make the game the tiniest bit intriguing, which is really annoying actually.
Rio Ferdinand acting like our keeper being calm and confident in his first league appearance and a North London Derby is a bad thing is doing my head in.
Conte on Bissouma.
I’d actually been doing pretty well this week with not thinking about this as it’s much less important in the grand scheme compared to other seasons. Feel absolutely horrid now.
I want to be optimistic about today, but there is no way anything positive can come out of wearing that awful blue kit in a NLD.
At least the lads have given themselves a nice rest today ahead of Wednesday.
Kinsky and Vicario are either gonna be best mates or mortal enemies. Not sure the club is big enough for two lunatics of that level.
Dom Solanke by the way.
That was a very controlled, mature performance from chaotic, irresponsible, unreliable Tottenham imo.
Hell yeah. Sonny forever.
