Traditional painted drawing of my character Verdant. He is a humanoid with olive skin and dual-tone green and black hair. In this picture he is standing in a defensive posture with big scared eyes, surrounded by layers of ghostly limbs that are not connected to him (he has similar powers seen in previous drawings, but if the hands were his, they would be tethered to his upper back). All of the colors have blue mixed in, tinting the image

Another traditional painted and inked drawing of Verdant, this time in a monochromatic blue with acrylic paint and a blue fine felt pen for outlines. His monkey tail is showing here, it wasn't visible in the last picture, and he is looking to the side and smiling slightly with his fingers interlocked at his chest.

I mixed up way too much of this blue for another project that I will post when I figure out the best way to stage it. But I put the excess paint in little condiment containers for future use.

I draw Verdant traumatized too much so I drew him happy for the second image.

Holy heck that's a lot!! Congratulations!! 🙌

He has light brown skin that has rosette spots visible on his cheeks and neck, and he has glowing gold eyes. He's also wearing a fur capelet on his shoulders and a dark tunic beneath that, and his ears are pierced with a gold hoop in the lobe and a gold stud in the auricle.

An attempt to learn to emulate a traditional painting digitally, for in-universe character portraits. Rad was a bit of an ambitious one to start with, since he's so dang complicated with his markings and gradients. But I was compelled... You see, I love him.

A digital reference that illustrates the different forms Kyori takes at specific phases in the lunar cycle. New moon, this phase shows a humanoid with bird-like features, blue hair and feathers, beige skin, large black claws, and wearing a sort of brown tunic tied in the middle by tan fabric. Text indicates "no change." Crescent is a little taller, and the wings smaller and more tattered-looking. The feathers and hair more purple, fangs are visible, sclera are tinted grayish purple, and the arms and legs have fur. Claws also got bigger, and two black horns protrude from his head. Face more animal, and he has visible fangs. Text reads "Most feathers already lost. Full mental clarity still. More temperamental mood." Quarter is larger, with large horns and huge claws. The stance is now clearly digitigrade. Face is very animal-like, wings are smaller and more tattered. The tunic looks a lot tighter. His sclera is dark gray. Text reads "At this point under magical influence. Impaired judgement and critical thinking skills. Control over actions becomes more dream-like. Still likely to remember events." Gibbous is fully beast-like, with massive forearms and much redder fur. The snout is longer with huge fangs, very long horns, and expression is more aggressive. Sclera are dark and eyes are violet-red. The tunic is gone now, and the wings are just hints of feathers. One claw is the size of a human forearm. Notes indicate "Control is minimal or nonexistent. Memories of events are more difficult to recall and are more vague or even incorrect. Easy to provoke into aggression." Full moon is a massive beast with head angled down to the viewer with a very snarly expression, and has all four paws on the ground (though mostly to save canvas space). Just one arm is larger than a person. The fur is fully red and reddish-brown, there's a long curled tail, and the sclera are also fully black with red pupils. Note reads "Just aggression. No Kyori."

I am just marveling at how much my skill has improved, looking at old art. Like, my earnest attempt to learn how to draw a monkey oc in 2017, vs my most recent monkey. Even if the 2017 one was a doodle page, I remember struggling to capture the shapes of a monkey and feeling frustration about it!

All of the weeping puppets have black wings (generally amorphous carbon) that turn into a highly combustible powder when they use up energy, capable of producing fine particle explosions

maybe I'll give them to Rottos since they're not a weeping puppet so they don't need black wings (lore things..)
