I'm honestly doing great under the circumstances. I had not fully realized how weighted down I was by the issues in my marriage.

I have more on my plate now, but so much more room to deal with it. I'm so much happier.

And I was like ...well...and just used the pool water to hose it down to the street.

I have realized I would rather do the shitty outdoor things a thousand times over than deal with Ex Mr Dr Red because today as I was winterizing the pool I nearly stepped on a decapitated dead bird and then nearly stepped on the head.

I feel the same way about big emotional events. This year has had three and that is TOO MANY.

Anyway, I have been so busy in real life that I have been super inactive in fandom and I miss it and you guys! What's new with you?!?!

Fandom-wise, this is now a .... Untamed/SKZ account? With a side of Ateez? I'm sorry?

I'm still with Doc, who is perfect and amazing. I also have been having A Time dating here. There are some stories, friends, that will amaze you.

It's been a rough ride learning to deal with Quebec CPS and a new kid that I didn't raise, but she is very determined to stay here at least partly because the next stop is a foster home so we are working it out.

I've also acquired an additional child, my niece (henceforth Kid 3, 15). She's Mr Dr Red's sister's child, and has been through a lot of crap but she's settled with me now and will probably remain here until she's ready to take steps on her own.

We lost my stepmom of 40 years (my dad's wife) so I've been helping my dad deal with that. He's having some balance and memory issues but has done really well in the wake of her death. It is hard being on the opposite side of the country but he's visiting right now so I'm taking advantage of that.

Kid 2 left to spend a year in B.C. living with my mom and doing Grade 12 in English and he's having a blast. It's an adjustment but he's in the right place and doing great. He's developed a fishing obsession?

Kid 1 (19) and Kid 2 (17) are great. Kid 1 switched cégep programs and is in my class this semester, which is very funny. He loves his new program and is acing it.

It's so weird to see my kid become an adult. He's not there fully, but the glimpses are there and it's super cool.

I feel like my first post here should be epic, but honestly, it's been a year so it'll be an update instead.

I left Mr Dr Red last October after quite a difficult few years. It hasn't been easy, but I feel so much lighter and better.
