Three comic books against a wooden background, with the titles "Phased", "The BOOK of DEATH Haiku Comics", and "Blood of My Blood".
Hey there! I'm an artist, cartoonist, and writer based in Seattle. I write and illustrate metaphysical comics and draw and paint landscapes en plein aire focusing on water-based media.
My latest comic project was The BOOK of DEATH Haiku Comics, pictured with my other two!

I feel like Iβm constantly in a state of βgetting back into making artβ or trying to make it easier to sit down and make something, so I have been making tiny paintings in a tiny watercolor sketchbook - this one based off a reference from line-of-action.com

Haiku comic with an illustration of a mermaid with red hair holding a fork. The text reads, βdeep in the ocean/she finds herself dreaming of/the human worldβ
Iβm taking a haiku comics class, and we had an assignment to make a non-traditional haiku (not about seasons or nature, but about pop culture, supernatural creatures, fairy tales, etc.) Hereβs mine:
deep in the ocean
she finds herself dreaming of
the human world

Leaf miners, pick off the affected leaves, check the remaining leaves for eggs, usually on the underside of the leaves. You can also use a row cover to prevent them from laying eggs (itβs some sort of flying insect.) Iβve had success being diligent about getting the eggs off (I just scrape them off)
