Hello, BlueSky! Let’s Go Blue Jays!
It’s been a while, hope you’re all doing well and enjoying this run
Leafs’ top line: 9 points
Ottawa’s top line: 0 points
Beware of Brady Tkachuk 😂 Joke
Leafs go 9-1 heading into the playoffs.
Since March 15th they’ve gone 13-2-1. Their starting goalie hasn’t lost a single game during that stretch.
All things have been aligning perfectly for them heading into this series.
These Leafs have the best goaltending and defence heading into the playoffs in the Matthews era. Now they just have to figure out how to score when it matters most.
Leafs just need to win two of final three to get the division no matter what any other team does. All they need is two more wins and it’s guaranteed. Ottawa first round seems inevitable. Must win series or Leafs Nation will implode. It’ll be a huge series with major implications.
It’s almost time for me to start caring about playoff hockey in an unhealthy way again and jump back on the rollercoaster of emotions I pretty much avoid all season long 😂
The way Tampa is looking right now you absolutely have to win the division. I don’t want Tampa or Florida. I’ll take my chances with the Sens even if a loss to them would drive me into complete insanity.
The old Blue Jays would NEVER bunt twice in a row and slip a slow roller down the line for a two run single. This ain’t a “swing for the fences” club, but they’re generating runs with fundamentals so far. It’s more sustainable than relying on the long ball. Hope it continues!
Love what I’m seeing from Sandlin in the bullpen. Electric stuff. Made Nationals hitters look silly on sliders nowhere near the plate, then he hits them with controlled fastballs on the corners. You can’t reach that.
If they lost this it would be the end of me 😂
The Leafs have ONE regulation loss in their last EIGHT games. Starting to peak with a few weeks to go.
One of the funnier stories in MLB to start the season is how the St Louis Cardinals are blatantly lying about their attendance, saying there’s 34,000 in this crowd 😂
The Leafs are 5-1-1 in their last 7 and 7-1-2 against the bottom 5 teams in the league despite all the current narratives floating around out there 😆
Good grind it out road game tonight. Stolarz needs to get the start vs Florida. Rest him up for the big game.
Well the Blue Jays let Yarborough walk for this Lovelady guy and he looks like he should be pitching in A ball by whatever that was today
Both Florida and Tampa have dropped two more points against bottom feeder teams compared to Toronto.
Auston Matthews may have had a dip in offensive production this year (from injury), but he is still on pace to for the most assists in his career and still could easily score 35, which would be 15-20th in the league. Not bad for a “down” year.
😂
Good morning, beautiful people. Today’s goal is to make a stranger smile. Do something for someone without expecting anything in return. Make the world a little brighter for someone who may be struggling.
Rough start for the Blue Jays but it’s only one game in a very long season. Can’t read too much into it. They shut out the Yankees last year in the opener and how did that season go? 🤷🏻♂️
Today’s order for game 1 of the 2025 Blue Jays season. Let’s go! 🔥
1. Bo Bichette, SS
2. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., 1B
3. Anthony Santander, LF
4. Andrés Giménez, 2B
5. Alejandro Kirk, C
6. George Springer, CF
7. Will Wagner, DH
8. Ernie Clement, 3B
9. Alan Roden, RF
I feel you, Oreo. I get it
Opening Day of the baseball season always feels like a fresh start. It’s a clean slate where you can forget the past and start a new chapter. Hopefully this is the Blue Jays’ year!
Good morning. Happy St. Patty's Day! Hopefully the boys can pull off a big win in green tonight. Time to start getting hot down the stretch.
We all know that the fact the Leafs look like hot garbage means they’ll somehow go on a deep playoff run because hockey doesn’t make sense.
Now that’s a photo I’d have framed 😂
I’m back! I tried X again for a while but quickly was reminded why I left.
That was a very entertaining back and forward hockey game. Leafs looked good for the most part outside of a few stretches when Tampa pushed. You can see the confidence is growing with the Leafs’ offence. If they can keep that going they’ll go on a heater.
Glad to see the Blue Jays finally lure in a free agent with some pedigree. Still a long road ahead to compete in their division, but it’s a sign this front office is going to attempt to go all-in. Their jobs are almost certainly on the line at this point.
But the Blue Jays were “in the mix” till the very end. I bet they have a wall in the front offices at Rogers Centre of all the big names that call or pop by for a visit on their way to LA
